Passenger cars are as varied as the people who drive them, there are small cars, medium cars, large cars and of course wagons. If you are looking for a small passenger car you may be interested in the Toyota Yaris because it is small and easy to park. Maybe a Honda Civic Hybrid would appeal to the thrifty shopper in you or satisfy your concern about the environment with its 49/51mpg rating. The Chevrolet Aveo comes in a variety of stylish colors and the Nissan Versa has plenty of cargo room.

It does not matter if you choose a 2 door coupe, a 3 or 5 door hatch-back, a traditional 4 door mini-sedan like the Toyota Corolla or any other configuration. What makes a small car small is its size. Small passenger cars can be extremely versatile and economical to own but they do have limitations.

If you have a large family, drive the car pool to work or carry lots of stuff you may need a midsize passenger car. Large passenger cars are in a class by themselves for a variety of reasons. A large passenger car often comes with a large and powerful engine to help move it along at a good speed with plenty of power to spare. A large passenger car can often seat five or six adults very comfortably with plenty of leg room and head room for taller adults. Large passenger cars like most others also come in a large variety of prices from $30,000 for a Chrysler 300 sedan to $70,000 for a BMW 7-series. The best selling large sedan is the Mercury Grand Marquis cousin to the Ford Crown Victoria (a popular police model). Buick has the Lucerne if you are looking for V- 8 power and rear wheel drive while Jaguar has the new XJ with a 600 watt sound system, zenon headlights, and a panoramic roof with electrically operated blinds. So if you are looking for a large passenger car you will have plenty of choices.

If all of these things sound great but you still need room for the dog or to go antiquing on the weekends you may want to consider a wagon. Wagons have all of the passenger car comforts and conveniences with a little extra cargo room. You may want to check out the Subaru Outback, BMW 3-Series sport wagon or even the Ford Freestyle.
