Sports cars are available in all different styles and price ranges from the low $20,000 mark up to $1,000,000 plus.
A sports car is typically a two door or coupe styled car built for speed and driving fun. They are not the most practical for carrying passengers or cargo but that is not what they are meant for. Large engines, sporty styling, tuned exhaust, wider tires and tighter suspensions are usually what sets these cars apart from the rest.

You can start with a base model Scion tc with 2.4 liter engine and 17inch alloy wheels or maybe a new Chevrolet Camaro with a 400hp V-8 and 20 inch wheels is more to your liking. Ford has retooled the Mustang to compete with the Camaro and Dodges reintroduced Challenger. These cars are known as pony cars in light of the fact that Ford was the first entry in the segment.

If you are on a budget you may want to consider the Mazda 6, Chevrolet Cobalt or the Volkswagen Eos convertible. If you are not on a budget you can shop for Lamborghini's, Ferraris and Porches. If you want a true American icon you may want to check out Chevrolets venerable Corvette or if you prefer a European sports car check Aston Martin, Mercedes AMG line up or maybe a Maserati.
